Persimmons from a backyard tree, fresh walnuts from a neighbor’s crop, organic pears from a shop I’d never been to before. Heck, even boughs of California bay leaves gathered from a family property. The bounty in this sunlit still life is the result of one of the finer traits of the human race. The desire to share good things; sometimes even goodness its self.
Whether a bit of knowledge, a knowing smile or a fresh bay leaf, a recent accomplishment or a video of Jelly Roll singing “I only talk to God when I need a favor. . .” These are but a few grains of sand on a vast sunny beach ~ merely a speck of what can be shared with others. Others who will be enriched by your doing so.
It’s a brand new year and perhaps the perfect moment to consider what you just might be able to share today.
Happy New Year! ❤️
